Black OE Neocaridina shrimp are adaptable freshwater shrimp that perform best in a mature, fully cycled aquarium with stable water conditions. Unlike specialised soft-water Caridina, Neocaridina davidi can thrive across a broader range of moderately hard water when parameters remain consistent. Provide established biofilm, plants, mosses and other grazing surfaces alongside a balanced shrimp diet. Avoid sudden changes in temperature or mineral concentration, and ensure sufficient calcium and magnesium are available to support healthy moulting.
