Care Notes

Red Metallic shrimp are best maintained in a mature, fully cycled soft-water aquarium with stable parameters. A buffering active substrate combined with remineralised RO water is commonly used for Taiwan Bee Caridina, helping maintain low KH and mildly acidic conditions. Provide established biofilm, mosses and other grazing surfaces alongside a balanced shrimp diet. Avoid sudden changes in temperature, TDS or mineral concentration, particularly during water changes. Careful acclimation and consistent water quality are important for long-term maintenance and breeding, with stability taking priority over repeatedly adjusting the aquarium to reach exact parameter values.
