Red Zebra is a striking Caridina shrimp distinguished by deep red coloration and contrasting white-to-cream patterning. The photographed shrimp displays prominent zebra-like bands across the abdomen, combined with irregular patches and smaller markings around the head and body. This mixture of bold stripes and broken patterning gives the line a highly distinctive appearance. Individual shrimp naturally vary in stripe width, pattern placement, colour intensity and overall coverage, so exact markings will differ from the reference image. Red Zebra is particularly suited to Caridina collections and planted aquariums where its strong red-and-white contrast can stand out.
Red Zebra Caridina are best maintained in a mature, fully cycled aquarium with soft, stable water conditions. An active buffering substrate with appropriately remineralised RO water is commonly used for this type of Caridina. Provide mosses, plants, botanicals or wood to create grazing surfaces where biofilm can develop. A balanced shrimp food can supplement natural grazing without excessive feeding. Avoid sudden changes in temperature, pH or mineral content, particularly during water changes. Stable long-term conditions are more important than constantly adjusting the aquarium to achieve exact parameter readings.
